Bring It On Cast Reunites, Talks Hookup Rumors, Mexico Arrests: Pics

These are jazz hands! It’s been more than 15 years since Bring It On hit theaters, and in Entertainment Weekly’s annual Reunions Issue, cast members Eliza Dushku, Gabrielle Union, Kirsten Dunst, and Jesse Bradford reunited to relive the classic cheerleading comedy from 2000 and the on-set rumors about the wild cast.

“I get lines from the spoof — ‘It’s already been broughten.’ I don’t remind them that that actually wasn’t in our movie,” Union, 42, told the magazine, referencing the 2001 spoof, Not Another Teen Movie.

“That wasn’t?” Dunst, 33, asked, laughing. “I thought it was.”

The foursome also appeared on the Today show on Friday, Oct. 9, and they still remember a lot of their famous cheers. But one story that is often referenced by this cast is the night that Bradford, 36, and Dushku, 34, who play on-screen siblings Cliff and Missy Pantone, respectively, got arrested after a night of partying in Mexico.

“I would love to set the record straight about that, if you want the truth — or maybe the truth with some omissions,” Bradford told EW. “First of all, it was Rosarito, not Tijuana. It was me, Eliza, Rini Bell, and this dude Lance, one of the male cheerleaders on the Toros. I’m gonna blur the details of how and why, but needless to say, we got arrested. We had to go in front of a judge — I use that term loosely here — and explain what happened, and he let us go.”

“Thank God for those little disposable cameras that nobody ever really developed, so we never ended up on TMZ,” Dushku added.

When talking to the Today show about the incident, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress also noted, “No producer bailed us out. We bailed ourselves out, because we’re professionals!”

As for on-set hookups, the group remained a little more tight-lipped.

“Did we hook up? Well, there was certainly a degree to which, walking around that set, I felt like a very lucky guy and got to meet a lot of very pretty girls who were interested in talking to me,” Bradford teased to EW.

“There are some rumors online about our extracurricular activities, but I maintain that I always showed up to work on time,” Dushku said. “Without having to be yelled at by a producer.”

But Union had the best response, saying, “First rule of Fight Club, don’t talk about Fight Club. There were a lot of adventures, I will say that.”
